At only ten years old, Asia Monet Ray is known as a true ”triple threat”.  Born in Yorba Linda, California, she first took an interest in gymnastics when she was just a toddler. Quickly realizing she had a natural athleticism and a love for movement, Asia’s parents enrolled her in figure skating lessons with dance lessons soon following. As expected, she picked up both sports with ease and went on to win numerous awards in a short amount of time. Eventually Asia Monet moved on from ice‐skating to focus on dance, which she found to be her true passion. Almost immediately, Asia began outperforming her competition which made her a real threat to challengers of all ages, and she quickly became known as a dance prodigy. Asia’s hard work paid off and, at the tender age of five, she made history by becoming the youngest StarPower National  Championship winner to ever take the title. Her knack for picking up choreography and her ability to engage an audience have made her well known within the dance community. As she enters a new phase of her career, it will be her charisma and amazing energy that take her to the next level of stardom!

IMG_4427With Asia Monet’s status as a true “triple threat,” fans everywhere are falling in love with her undeniable talent and charming personality. She made her television debut at six years old when she entered the first season of Lifetime’s “Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition.”Despite being the youngest in the competition, she wowed the judges and audiences week after week with her hard‐hitting, sassy moves. Asia Monet beat competitors twice her age to make it to the finale, where she placed third overall to two 13 year-old girls. Afterwards, Asia Monet joined Abby Lee Miller’s elite junior competition team on Season 3 of Dance Moms.  Fueled by the competition and Abby’s tough love approach, Asia Monet proved she was a champion by winning every single competition solo she performed for 9 consecutive weeks! Dance Moms has remained one of Lifetime’s most watched shows, and was nominated for a Teen Choice Award in the Choice TV: Reality Show Category.

As one of the most popular contestants on Dance Moms, Asia Monet was offered her own docu‐series, Raising Asia, which premiered on Lifetime. The series followed the young performer alongside her mom, dad, and little sister Bella Blu. Fans enjoyed getting an inside look at her personal and family life, as well as her journey pursuing a singing and acting career. While she is best known for her dancing, she is now venturing into the world of music. Her debut album titled “Asia Monet”, features 5 original songs inspired by her family, friends, and fans. The full LP is available for purchase or download on Amazon, iTunes, Google Play, and Spotify as well as on Asia’s website; www.iamasiamonet.com. In addition, she released a ”Christmas Time” music video on Vevo in November 2014 that has hit over 4.4 million views in its first year, and most recently a cover of Justin Bieber’s “I’ll Show You” featuring piano prodigy Rio Mangini. The video garnered 75,000 views in its first month. Asia Monet has also performed live concerts at large venues including Planet Hollywood Las Vegas and Universal City Walk in California

I was flipping thru the channels & came across your show ‘Raising Asia’ & after reading the description, decided to watch despite my disdain for contemporary child performers.. Obviously you are talented beyond belief, that goes without say, but you are also very well spoken, poised, mature & a very like able girl.. Traits like that hard to find not only in ‘regular’ people, but it seems that today’s performers, actors, musicians & the like are severely lacking them, almost all of them being two or three times your age!! Your sister, altho not the focus if the show, is adorable too..Considering she is the baby & that you are the primary focus of the family (especially of your Mothers time & attention) she seems well adjusted to that fact, happy & secure knowing she is loved by all members of your family.. Like you she is EXTREMELY well spoken for her young age… In my opinion, there is NOTHING ‘cute’ about baby-talk at ANY age!! The talent you have is God given & from your hard work & dedication, but your other attributes are a direct result of your parents teaching their children good manners, how to speak to people & that the world does NOT in fact, revolve around THEM..It shows thru in everything you do, from the first time you speak, the way you carry yourself, your poise & confidence..You & your sister are walking, talking, performing examples of children being raised not only right, but children being raised right AND raised to be in the public eye!!
